Ann’s Cottage staff ride the recession with financial advice

Staff at one of Cornwall’s largest surfing companies will be comfortably riding the wave of recession by receiving top financial advice from a local firm.

Truro and Wadebridge based independent financial advisers, Worldwide Financial Planning, will provide support to staff at Ann’s Cottage surf shops.

The 120 employees from the company’s eight premises will receive an hour’s free consultation with one of Worldwide’s award-winning financial advisers.

“We’ve been providing financial advice to the Ann’s Cottage team for years. It’s an incredible story. They started the business as a small shop as part of a petrol filling station in Polzeath, selling and renting out boards and equipment,” said Worldwide’s managing director, Peter McGahan.

“Over the years we’ve grown to become firm friends and it’s great to see how successful the business has become.

“The fact that they want to help all 120 of their staff by giving them our expert financial support really goes to show what a great company Ann’s Cottage is.”

As well as the one-hour consultation all staff will be signed up to Worldwide’s ‘Monthly Money Savers’ email.
