After an impressive performance at the Boscawen Oval, WWFP were invited by Foot Anstey to take part in their volleyball tournament.
28th July saw a team of 6 players from Worldwide Financial Planning take on other teams around the county for a beach volleyball tournament. On the beautiful sands of Perranporth Beach, on a balmy evening, the team joined in the event organised by Foot Anstey solicitors.
Worldwide’s team consisted of Jeff Lenihan and Becky Bendle from our commercial department, Worldwide’s Truro office receptionist Kelly Oliver, our pensions guy Matt Higham, finance secretary, Matt Dewhurst and independent financial adviser, Andrew Stallard.
In a league of five teams, Worldwide, playing under the name of the Wobbly Weaver Fish Players, won 3 out of 4 games, a very impressive result, considering that Kelly had never played before and Matt Dewhurst admitted that his greatest skill was falling over.
The only game the team lost was against Robinson Reed Leighton accountants, in a tense match with father pitted against son – the two Lenihans, Jeff and his son Richard.
A great evening and loads of fun – big thanks to the organisers and we hope to meet again soon on the sands!
